Thermal Dissipation (Thermal Management)
Thermal Pad / GAP PAD
AB2E offers a wide range of GAP PAD for thermal management. They allow filling the empty spaces between 2 components that heat. Thus, they allow the improvement of the speed of thermal transfer.
Graphite Foils
The graphites have very high conductivities, anisotropic up to 1,600 W/mK in the x-y plane and 30 W/mK in the z-direction. They have a very low thermal resistance & a very low weight, with a Temperature up to 500°C for some. Moreover, the EMC aspect also exists.
Thermal Films & Foil
Our glass fiber reinforced thermally conductive sheets offer excellent thermal efficiency and tear strength. Their thin thicknesses significantly reduce the total thermal resistance between housings & heatsinks.
Thermally conductive greases
For non-flat surfaces with flatness or coplanarity problems, we have the “Greases” & “Dispensable”. They easily compensate for play, where a mattress cannot be easily integrated. They exist in silicone polymers or non-silicone.
Phase Change Material
These materials change from a solid state to a semi-liquid state at a given temperature and thus fill micro imperfections for critical applications. The complete impregnation is done cleanly. The thermal resistance is thus reduced to a minimum.
Heats Sinks
A heat sink is a passive heat exchanger. It is used to cool electronic devices. Also called “Heat-sinks”, they generally have a large surface area allowing to increase the heat transfer towards the cooling zone.
