EMC/EMI Shielded Glass/ ITO Film

The «armored windows» or «armored windows» for Cem screens combine optical transparency and high performance electromagnetic shielding protection. This technology protects equipment sensitive to BF & HF radiated disturbances. AB2E VITCEM consists of thin metal canvases (very fine knits) based on stainless steel or copper, inserted between two transparent optical substrates. The substrates used are usually polycarbonate. The remaining acrylic a fragile material in our field of application Cem or glass for uses in hardened or aggressive medium. Cem seals are in most cases necessary to perform a perfect shielding recovery. Transparent ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coatings can also be applied to a single substrate. This other technoa of less good performance but a more affordable price. The available dimensions range from a few cm² for smaller sizes, to the sizes of our residential windows.
EMI Film for PC Screen/ Shield Screen

The mesh consists of a very thin wire mesh. The wires are so thin that they are barely visible to the naked eye. The latter is fully integrated (embedded) by rolling between 2 sheets of PVC. The PVC has a scratch-resistant layer. The shield is available with an adhesive or not to facilitate the installation on the support. It can be applied to glass, acrylic and/or polycarbonate manually or automatically. The Shield Screen covers the frequency band from 10 kHz to 10 GHz. The tighter the mesh, the more efficient it is in high frequencies. However, the loss of optical transparency is also more important. The recovery of mass/ ground is most often by drilling, with recovery by the fixing screws. Different finishes also allow a mass recovery directly on the mesh or via a bus-bar. Our new “micro adhesive” solution facilitates manual installation by limiting the appearance of bubbles. We recommend using the standard adhesive exclusively in automatic installation by rolling mill.
Grid Honeycomb for fan

Our EMI filters for standard fans have a very good price/quality ratio. They provide good EMI protection where applications require a low cost solution (light industry). The outer side is made of plastic (ABS UL94V-0), internally equipped with a layer of honeycomb cells 3.2mm x 6.35mm thick. The electrical continuity with the chassis is made by an EMI foam gasket covered with copper/nickel-plated fabric (see our FOF seals). Fan grilles are designed for use in “commercial” electronic boxes that require both good air circulation for cooling and ventilation and protection from electromagnetic waves.
Vent Panel / Honeycombs

Electromagnetic shielding ventilation grilles consist of aluminum honeycomb mounted in a frame usually aluminum. AB2E offers different standards (see DS). Panel structures, grid thicknesses, framing, reinforced protection and standardized fasteners (M3 to M5) to lower costs compared to custom plan. You can create your own honeycomb from existing models. The grade 5052 aluminum foil used is a lightweight material with superior mechanical strength compared to standard alumina. It also has excellent corrosion resistance. It meets all the requirements of MIL-C-7438. This aluminum is also used to manufacture aircraft floors, helicopter rotor blades, so the recurring quality is assured.
Shield Sheath/ Cables Removable

AB2E sheaths are shielding sheaths designed to be wrapped around cables (or harnesses) requiring increased EMC protection because they are sensitive to radio interference radiated by other equipment. They are particularly suitable for retrofitting products already installed on site. The materials used for these ducts are self-extinguishing, UV, ozone and weather resistant. Easy to open and close, this type of sheath allows easy addition and removal of cables. One of the most common uses is Shielded Room Cem testing. Indeed, cables can be brought in/ out of the shielded enclosure. To prevent external radiated waves from entering the RF shielded room, this “sock” prevents them from entering the RF shielded room. Many pipe diameters are available for static or flexible applications. Applications: Automotive, bus and truck industry/ Railway rolling stock/ Boats/ Robot arms
Mesh Tapes & EMC Shielding Tubular Sheath

Wire mesh tapes are primarily designed for shielding and grounding electrical and electronic cable assemblies. This product is made with many different combinations of knitting options, materials, yarns and sizes. The mesh is made as a tubular piece and then flattened in the final width. Available sizes range from 5mm wide to 250mm as standard. Many available materials such as monel, tinned copper plated steel, stainless steel, beryllium copper, tinned copper and aluminum are available. The best results are in the HF, UHF and VHF frequency range. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can also be evacuated by this sheath.
Braids Grounding & Earth

AB2E offers “mass” and “earth” braids. We offer them in all shapes: round, flat, stranded, flexible… copper, tinned copper, aluminum with different finishes: lugs, bits, etc. We can also do it on customer plans even in small quantities. There are many applications. Applications: ground plane, solar photovoltaic panel connection, shunts, lightning rod connections, braided ducts, electrical connections, grounding, etc. The manufacture of metal and textile braiders allows to work from 13 to 120 spindles.
EMIMET GASKET & Metal Gaskets

AB2E EMIMET gaskets are based on highly electrically conductive metal mesh. They are made from a single yarn on a circular knitting machine which makes them very resistant. Then the shaping allows to obtain gaskets of different shapes. EMIMET lip seals allow the attachment of the seal directly to the support by welding, gluing or riveting. In this case the shielding performance is increased. The Monel is very often used and gives good results in the HF, UHF and VHF frequency range… These are the best gaskets for high performance shielding applications in magnetic and electric fields. The wide choice of materials available allows good galvanic compatibility with all surfaces to be coupled. This limits the risk of corrosion between the gasket and the surfaces involved.
Wall Shield EMI / FOF

Our technical fabrics (wall cloth, technical wallpaper, etc.) are electrically conductive. They have excellent properties against electromagnetic waves in high (HF) and low frequencies (BF). The EMC protection is provided to block the radiation of the telephone: mobile, 5G, wireless DECT, Wifi, Wimax, Bluetooth, radars and all other radiation, except those of the plane waves. The anti-surface fabric must be grounded by a professional electrician with a proper grounding kit to be effective. It is advisable to overlap the layers of canvases on 2-3 cm to ensure a good continuity of electromagnetic shielding. It is also recommended to cover this conductive fabric with an electrically insulating coating to prevent it from being damaged over the years. Their applications are for faradisées data centers, research laboratories or TEMPEST rooms.
Soft shield screen Plastic housing

“The use of plastic enclosures or enclosures poses problems of shielding or discharge of electrostatic discharges (ESD) and Cem shielding. The proposed product is a special metal screencomplex. It consists of 35 µm copper foil laminated with 25 µm polyester film. A second polyester film can be applied on the 2° side, as well as an adhesive according to the customer’s need. Copper ensures a very good attenuation of electromagnetic fields and a flow of electrostatic charges also. Polyester provides mechanical resistance and electrical insulation (5KV breakdown voltage) which allows this product to be placed in contact with the elements to be protected without the need for electrical insulation. Once cut this product can be used flat or folded or preformed by us to form a volume.”
PREMASQ Savings / Conductives Tapes

The PREMASQ is a conductive masking tape specially designed to create conductive areas of mass recovery or joints on cabinets, bays, metal cabinets… The advantage of PREMASQ is that it can be applied directly to the raw conductor support (castings) without any prior treatment. Due to the Copper Etamé material that constitutes PREMASQ, it results in a very high electrical conductivity and a high protection against corrosion. After baking the powder paint, the mask is removed and leaves room for the conductive savings zone. PREMASQ resists varnishing.
Conductives Tapes

This range of products called EMIRUB are «conductive tape» or «conductive adhesive tape».We have 4 types of materials: copper, tinned copper, aluminum and metallic fabric. They are mainly used in Cem and BE testing laboratories. Our copper tape has been qualified at EMITECH and LCIE for many years. We have a permanent stock in all these materials allowing you to deliver very quickly. Electrically conductive adhesive transfer tapes are particularly useful. Indeed, when it is necessary to bind conductive materials together while maintaining electrical conduction from one material to another through the bond.
Co-Extruded Gasket IP (bi-material)
Co-extruded elastomer profiles consist of a conductive elastomer and a non-conductive elastomer. Both materials are extruded at the same time. In addition to having a high level of EMI protection, they also offer a high level of protection against environmental influences. These co-extruded gaskets offer the advantage of being able to save a large part of the conductive particles. Only a small part of the profile is electrically conductive. This product variant represents a very economical alternative to the previously seen conductive particle-loaded silicone gaskets. Large profiles are the big winners of this new technology. The loaded silicone partially covers the joint section, which allows for a very flexible gasket. The addition of conductive loads usually always leads to an increase in hardness and a decrease in tensile strength. We thus obtain bi-material gasket with a more interesting mechanical behavior than pure loaded silicone (better flexibility and therefore better level of IP sealing).
EMI Conductive Gasket
Conductive silicones are composed of a mixture of silicone or fluorinated silicone and conductive metal particles made in an agitator. The particles can be either silver aluminum, silver copper and/or nickel-plated graphite for the most frequently used. These seals come in several forms. They have a temperature range identical to that of «conventional» silicone said unloaded. They have excellent resistance to residual deformation after compression. Fluorinated silicones have a very good resistance to hydrocarbons, oils and solvents more generally therefore to «aggressive» media. These seals «mounted» in groove can be suitable for IP68 with a good recommendation. We also offer Ni/GR seals with the UL94V0 standard and the associated yellow card. The manufacturing processes used are compression molding or extrusion of hollow or solid rope profiles. They are then cut to the required length and then joined («planed») end to end by vulcanization (hot bonding). This hot bonding avoids hard spots and therefore leaks. These processes make it possible to offer a set of tailor-made solutions with short delivery times.
EMI Gasket in Silicone Coated
The EMI SIL COATING is a silicone-based gasket, foam-expanded or solid (compact), covered with a thin layer (skin) of Silver & Copper with a thickness of 0.15mm. It therefore makes it possible to achieve sealed joints and electrical conductors It has ideal properties in terms of resistance to pressure and aging. It has high conductivity and very high flexibility (20 to 60 shA). The nature of its outer layer allows it a good galvanic compatibility with almost all supports and consequently to avoid corrosion or galvanic couples. Silver is after gold the best electric conductor. The gasket thus made are reusable after disassembly because they do not contain metal particles likely to damage the surfaces in contact. Moreover, the nature of its internal structure makes it an inexpensive gasket compared to standard silicone seals loaded with Silver/ Copper. The same applies to co-extruded gaskets. These gaskets only exist in O-ring shape!… They are easy to install but require a throat.
EMI Gaskets in Woven Aluminium Wires
This Cem composite seal is IP 68. It is made of metal canvases and expanded sheets impregnated with silicone. It is highly electrically conductive and has very good resilience for environmental EMI/RFI applications. It is relatively hard and therefore very resistant to tearing. It is at the same time «elastic». It provides an economic response to the gasket of «flat surfaces» because it ensures a very good sealing to pressure and fluids. It is particularly suitable for small thin joints like MIL connectors. The surface irregularities should not exceed 0.10 mm for the use of this gasket. It is especially prescribed in all military applications that require excellent electrical conductivity and low electrical resistance. A fluor-silicone version is available for use with fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids or other contaminants.
EMI SILMEL Gaskets loaded with monel wire

The high-performance SILMEL gasket combine sealing and EMC for all applications of enclosures, enclosures, hatches… outdoors (IP). These gasket are used mainly as connector or base gaskets. They are made of silicone in which is “drowned” wires of Monel or Aluminum. The homogeneity, texture and chemical composition of silicone are not degraded by the presence of these threads. Indeed, they offer good compatibility with most materials. It is rare to notice any galvanic corrosion between the SILMEL seal and its support (even if it is aluminum). The presence of corrugated metal wires positioned perpendicular to the faces embedded in the mass of the silicone, does not affect the sealing function of the gasket. Thus, the resistance to external aggressions (chemicals, fluids…) and the service life are those of pure silicone.
EMI Gasket EMICOMBI IP67 (bi-material)
EMI COMBI gasket are high performance EMC/ gasket that provide both RFI/EMI shielding and environmental tightness. The applications are mainly for cabinets, enclosures, enclosures, hatches, etc. Gasket can be supplied for NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) applications. These joints are made by bonding a strand of metal knitting yarn with a foam or compact elastomer band (Viton, Nitrile, Neoprene, EPDM or Silicone). These gaskets make it possible to achieve a runoff tightness up to IP67. An adhesive is put in place under the elastomeric part to help fasten the gasket. If an IP 68 is requested, in this case it must be ensured that the gasket is placed in a groove without adhesive. The gasket can be supplied in continuous strips or made in the form of closed frames according to customer plan. Compression limiters (stops) can be incorporated into the frame gasket to prevent its damage during assembly, and galvanic compatibility can be optimized through the choice of materials of the knitting yarns used. These gaskets offer an economical solution for high-level RFI/EMI/EMP shielding applications for electric and magnetic fields.
Clips SMT/ TMS – Mounting Shielding Boxes

The clip is made of tinned steel. The clips are delivered in CMS spool. They are therefore easily implanted on the PCB in TMS technology. Then, we simply clip the monobloc cover. We have an RF shield cover in 2 parts (clip=belt + cover). This results in a very significant economic gain compared to stamping. The second advantage is the reduction of the height compared to a «classic» 2-part stamped cover.
Easyshield EMC plates Prototype

AB2E has designed and developed this innovative new shielding product. It allows the R&D department to manufacture their own shielding box(s) for electromagnetic compatibility testing. Reproducibility is very easy because it is this same material that will be used in series by us. The cover can be made in 1 or 2 parts. It can have cavities or not. It is possible to integrate interior partitions, mounting brackets… This type of manufacturing has a very low cost and this in an ultra short time (plates in permanent stock at AB2E). We have equipped some of the best-known accredited testing laboratories. These products are widely used in Wifi, RF/HF, Wireless, and more generally in all Radio and home automation products.
EMC Shielding Covers in Chemical Cutting

PCB shielding housings provide effective insulation against electromagnetic waves at the board level. Photo etching is the most cost-effective production method for small and medium quantities < to 3000 pieces/year. It allows thanks to its low tooling cost to offer you the industrialized UNIT part, small or very small and medium series, for applications on specifications in a very economical way. After the photo engraving, the pieces are then folded «manually» thanks to folding lines. We have developed our own range of tools to limit your peripheral tooling costs. They are then mounted on a PCB covering one or more components to provide excellent EMI and RFI shielding. Internal partitions can be added to most designs. Ventilation and access holes can be incorporated into the covers and belts.
EMC Stamped Shield Covers

Stamping is generally used for large series > 5000 pieces/year. Stamping and pressing (tools to follow) are very expensive processes. On the other hand, they offer high volume manufacturing capacity with very low unit costs. Typically, a minimum of 100,000 parts are required on a global production to amortize tooling costs. These covers can be made in 1 or 2 parts (belt + lid). They can have fixing legs or not. Different types of lid closures are available. You have the option of compartmentalizing the inside of your shielded enclosure. EMI covers can be supplied in tape for installation in CMS (reflow) or in tray when they are too large to be spooled.
EMC Driver Gasket EMISEAL

EMI/SEAL are seals for all applications of enclosures, enclosures, hatches, indoor… or a purely EMC gasket is required. These gaskets are made by knitting a strand of metal knitting yarn (monel, tinned steel, etc.) around an elastomeric core (cellular neoprene, silicone, urethane foam, etc.). They have good resilience and excellent shielding attenuation. Their design makes them resistant to the environment over time. Monel is very often used in the HF, UHF and VHF frequency range. Tinned copper steel is more suitable for it in magnetic field. The judicious choice of the nature of the knitting yarns allows to have a good galvanic compatibility and avoids corrosion with the surfaces to be coupled. These seals can also be used for EMI (electromagnetic pulse) protection.
Conductive EMC foam on all 3 axes

3-axis conductive foam is a urethane based foam combined with Mesh. It has a low density. It is completely coated with a copper + nickel mixture, which gives it a low resistance electrical conductivity on the three axes: X, Y and Z. It is therefore conductive (horizontally and vertically) which ensures a particularly good connection between the top and bottom of the elements to be put in electrical continuity. This allows it to deliver excellent EMI shielding performance when used as a conductive EMI seal. It is very economical since there is no need for groove machining. The material is available as a sheet or roll up to 1000 mm wide or as a die cut seal according to customer plan. Conductive adhesive is available as an option. This material will provide good dust tightness.
Solderable PCB EMI Seal – SMGS Type W

SMGS type W contact pads are used exclusively on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and are an excellent alternative to metal SMD contacts. They have good electrical and physical properties. These contact springs have high adhesion thanks to the SMT (TMS) process. They have excellent temperature resistance as well as excellent spring and ground connection properties. They also have high abrasion resistance. The conductive coating that surrounds these studs is copper with tin plating to facilitate the soldering and reflow soldering process.
Contact SMD for PCB gold plated

AB2E offers a wide range with more than 120 standard parts ranging from 1.3 mm to 13 mm in height. These contacts are in Cu Be material gilded with fine gold in standard declination. The process of use is simple by the reflow welding method. The choice of Cu Be is due to the fact that it is easy to work. It is also resistant to corrosion and abrasion (treatment with its gold flash). It is elastic. This type of product is almost indestructible. It can withstand sharp temperature fluctuations without affecting its operation. For other shapes, customer plan from your dxf or step files. It can be used «as a so-called classic EMC gasket» by positioning these contacts close to each other to form an almost continuous cord.
EMC contact fingers in CuBe

Beryllium copper (CuBe) contact bands are made from beryllium copper alloy. The sheets are cut by punching or engraving, then stamped to be shaped. Heat treatment then ensures “shape memory” and increased mechanical elasticity. They can receive various treatments to increase their conductivity or to improve galvanic couples. The existing shapes give a very low remanence spring effect and gives excellent EMI/RFI electromagnetic protection. They are also used for different forms of mass…. ideally suited for shielding applications requiring frequent cycles of opening/closing operations, such as shielded enclosure doors.
EMC Foam Fabric Gasket (FOF)

These standard seals are made in Asia. They have a core of Polyurethane foam covered with a conductive fabric of Nickel-plated Copper. They are specially designed for all EMC In-Door applications. They are used mainly at the level of cabinet closures, cabinets, hatches, doors… They have great flexibility with regard to the closing system and the chassis over long lengths. The excellent high frequency shielding efficiency as well as the adhesive make them easy to use seals (no grooving machining). They can be used on thin metals because of their extreme flexibility. These seals are a good way to reduce shielding costs. Our catalogue offers a very wide range of standard sizes and shapes.
